Restore a Database

Before restoring a database, create a backup of the current database whenever possible.

  1. Open phpMyAdmin from cPanel.
  2. Select the correct database.
  3. Choose Import.
  4. Select the SQL backup file.
  5. Start the import.

Restoring the wrong database can overwrite current website data, so verify the database name carefully.
